WHAT IS QUALITYCORE?

ACT's QualityCore is a research-driven solution to raise the quality and intensity of high school core courses. It is a comprehensive program that supports the current curriculum and instructional methods. Components of the QualityCore program include an interactive formative item pool that provides educators with customizable quizzes and interim/benchmark assessments in core high school courses. For 2012-13, Alabama will implement QualityCore in English 9, English 10, Algebra I, and Geometry. In addition to the formative and benchmark/interim assessments, comprehensive assessments that provide data on cumulative learning are provided for each of the core high school courses. AMSTI Welcomes German Educators

AMSTI played host to four German Educators the week of July 10-14, 2011. These individuals wanted to examine how AMSTI functioned, and perhaps to get a hands on view of some of the training that was being conducting during their tour. They will be initiating a similar program back in their homeland. At the Auburn site, they observed the Summer Institute Training that was being conducted at Auburn High School, and took a tour of the warehouses where the kits were being assembled for use later in the school year. After leaving auburn, they visited other sites throughout the state of Alabama.
